This year's annual fly-in/convention is going to be extra special because of the keynote speaker, Mrs. Gene Nora Jessen! This remarkable aviatrix has made invaluable contributions to women in aviation as well as played a significant role in the introduction of the Beech Musketeers to the US market back in 1962.

Your BAC board members have been working with Mike Busch developer of the world class seminar, Savvy Aviator to negotiate a convenient seminar and special pricing. Cloyd Van Hook, BAC president and other members of the board have been working hard to make this happen and we are proud to announce......

For those member who didn't attend BAC Fest '07, the location for BAC Fest ’08 was announced during the banquet dinner in Myrtle Beach. The committee chair, Dan Jonas provided some preliminary details and assured members and their spouses…..

Got photos from BAC Fest? Share them with others! Here are a few things to keep in mind as adding photos isn't always the most intuitive process. First, you should probably create your own album within the BAC Fest 2007 folder (which is in the BAC Fest folder). Confused already? No problem, just use this link to create an album for yourself. Once you've created an album you will be able to upload your photos.

It is time to go BAC to the Beach for BAC FEST 2007. For those arriving at KCRE (Grand Strand) we will have a van starting Monday around 1:00 p.m.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will be the host city for BAC Fest 2007, October 17 – 21. Located on the beach and having undergone a recent eight million dollar room renovation, The Caravelle Resort will be the host hotel for the second annual national gathering of the Beech Aero Club.

McConnell AFB (Class D) is adjacent to KBEC Beech Factory field and Col James Jabara Airport and Mid Continent International KICT is an adjacent Class C airport with commercial traffic. There are heavy aircraft (KC-135R) operating in the McConnell area. Depending on the time of day and other factors, there could be conflicts with KBEC arrivals and departures. This link gives an idea of traffic in the McConnell AFB area, departure and arrival procedures for airports in the region, etc. It is a little dated (2004), but it is believed to reflect current operations. (maca in the link stands for mid-air collision avoidance.)

Raytheon has a couple of requests from us and there has been some concern over the close proximity of the McConnell AFB Class D Airspace. If you are planning on attending BAC Fest, Click the Title Above to find out more information.

Planning for BAC Fest 2006 is almost complete. We are looking forward to a week of fun and excitement. The place to be is KBEC, The dates are August 16-20.
