S-TEC already has for our planes. There is no need to do any more

My '76 Sundowner presently has a Century 1 autopilot that needs approx.
$3000 worth of repairs. I would very much like to install an S-Tec
autopilot, but need an STC. I was told this would add $1000 to the
bill. Does anyone know where I can get information on STC costs, or
possibly get it myself?
