The pucker factor is starting to increase a little.
Since I've owned N7966L (65 hours), I've been carefully watching the
engine.
It's always consumed a lot of oil, and I've been plugging the leaks
as I find them. However, it has always run really strong.
Last weekend, I flew about 4 hours. On climbout the RPM
was "bouncing" a few hundred RPM. Once level, no more bouncing.
I'm wondering if this is something wrong with the instrument or an
indication of something wrong with the engine. I didn't notice the
engine behaving strangely. It climbed normally. It may have been
wind/turbulence etc., but I *thought* I felt a single prop-bump, but
I was already on edge because of the RPM.
Flew again, and it's still bouncing. It's still performing well,
though. Any ideas? Thinks I could take a quick look at to help
diagnose?
Oh yeah, one new cylinder, comps high 60's to mid 70's, 1100 SMOH on
the IO-360.
Thanks,
Adam
