SPOT is a new product that is being marketed to the aviation community www.findmespot.com Some people have even suggested it as possible alternative to a 406 MHz ELT upgrade. I have tested it for over a month and it is NOT a replacement for an ELT.

In short, the unit did not function very well for me at all.

I am concerned that people have in fact try to use this as a life safety device and that worries me a great deal. As I say in the review....
