Hartzell Plane Power P/N AL12-F60 Alternator.
Removed from my Beech Sierra B24R, Lycoming IO-360A1B6 during fall of 2015. Noticed a loud squealing noise over my headset. My A&P mechanic (Our ex-president Rap McBurney) deduced it was my alternator slowly degrading and I replaced it with the same make/model unit. A&P predicted it would continue to work awhile longer, but I didn’t want to take a chance. I would imagine this can be overhauled. Looks clean and serviceable. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING AND FLYING AS IS…REQUIRES FAA APPROVED OVERHAUL.
ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT FLY AS IS! Strongly recommend overhaul for FAA/PMA approval via an Authorized Release Certificate FAA Form 8130-3, Airworthiness Approval Tag. Originally purchased 07/08/11.
