B24R - Sierra - replacement for OAT gauge

Folks, what do you suggest. Is there something
"electronically " available that can replace the
    "stick-in-the-windscreen" model?? I am looking for a
replacement gauge so I can re-use the hole in the
windscreen. At least, that's what I am thinking right
    now.

    Regards

I guess you have already read the FAQs on BAC, for "thermometer"? I have not specifically tried to reuse the old thermometer-shaft hole in the windshield, for a digital model, as most digital conversions are made during a windshield replacement. The sensor gets mounted elsewhere, to avoid the windshield hole. Having said that, you might well be able to just use that same hole for the sensor, at least until a new windshield is needed. You can always use rubber grommets and something like polished stainless-steel backup washers to achieve a secure fit for the sensor.
