    Micro Aero VG install question

Jeff, Rob, Rodger, Mike, Bob - (or anyone that's already completed a VG
    install on a mouse)

Nearing the end of my installation now, got the VGs on the wings and the
bottom of the stabilator. Those were a piece of cake. But now I've hit a
    newbie snag.

On my mouse, there are rivets in the way of the top and bottom VGs on the
vertical stabilizer (symmetrical - both sides). I can move the lower VG aft
far enough to clear, but the top one is a bit more hairy, there's another
rivet too close on the aft side, and the "front" side is not much better, to
clear the obstacles in that direction requires a move of 2-1/2".

I'm concerned that I may be mis-interpreting the instructions about how to
move the VGs if there's a conflict with a surface feature.

One of the A&Ps (not the guy "supervising" me - he's out of town for the
weekend) at my airport showed me an installation on a C182 that had a rivet
in the way... They dremeled an arc out of the base of the VG to allow it to
fit where the template put it. That's not mentioned as an option on the
    Mouse VG install STC paperwork.

How did you handle the top and bottom VGs on the Vertical Stab?

    BEST,

    Micro Aero VG install question

I had to move the VG just enough to miss the rivets. Not a big problem
though and the installation manual says you can do that.
