    Flying to Milwaukee

Next month i need to fly from Atlanta to Milwaukee-Timmerman Airport.
I am interested in the best- prefered route around Chicago. VFR or
IFR. Can anyone give me some suggestions east side west side etc.

    Thanks
    Mike Dawson

    Flying to Milwaukee

I sent Mike a more detailed reply, but Al is right. For anyone flying through the Chicago area. Don't plan on talking to Chicago approach unless on an IFR flight plan. Not that they will not talk to you but many times they are too busy to get to you. I f IFR they will take you west well past the mode C ring most of the time. They do have flight following up the lakefront during Oskosh week and sometimes you can get them to talk to you if they are not too busy. Listen in on 118.4 and try to keep up with the pace. Stay below 3000 out of classB and have a wonderful flight.
