    Important Information on the Sundowner

It is a good airplane. My instrument instructor commented on
the "solidness" of the airplane and the responsiveness of the
controls. Normally he teaches in Cezznas. It has a slightly bigger
(wider and taller) cabin than a 172 and can take an honest 4 people.
It has 60 gallon tanks which is more like a 182 so the range is longer
than a 172 or Warrior. Since the Sundowners have 180 HP engines,
    they're a touch faster than the 172 with a 160.

The down sides. Parts are still available from Beech/Raytheon but you
WON'T like the prices. Because of the smaller number of these aircraft
built, aftermarket parts are not common but some aftermarket parts are
available. So you get to know the junkyards fairly well. The
airplane is no speedster. It is NOT a Bonanza, even if you get
confused with one by ATC at times. It is lower priced and will remain
so relative to brand C or P.
