Sundowner vs Archer & doors.. OZ &TOM &JON

    Oz,

Must say that I was very disappointed to hear that yourself & Cloyd
had (bailed) departed Dayton at~07:00 when I arrived at~08:00.

Had I know, I would've gone the x-tra mile just to have the
opportunity to see you both, live & in technicolour dreams.

    Oh well..wasn't meant to be..

I just can't imagine test pilots entering a cargo door..:-0..

I think you & Tom are out to lunch on this one..but never know..

    I've heard of stranger things..

BTW Oz, have you figured out what region Bill is in..East or West?

I would not hesitate to ride with a compass challenged ATP rated
    pilot myself. Everybody's human. (think).

    Jon

    Jon,

I met Oz and Cloyd for the first time in Dayton. You didn't miss anything.

As for the doors, check the off-line photo and you will see the factory installed NO doors. The dealers did.

Thx for the tip..turns out I didn't waste any time..

Sorry, I've not seen any others, not even from (SkyGod) Oz, who
agreed & went to bat for you (& then I read the above?!?) I've no
    doubt the pix are doctored..

As to the significance of the doors, as an MM quest, I'd say that at
this point, it's in YOUR own mind & maybe OZ's(?).. but NO pix from
    him yet, just BIG talk..

Folks, If you can swing any Musketeer Fly-in, you will find that
things'll never be the same & you will forever be changed (right Tom?)
Seems that everything is funny now..

    Hop, skip, jump & leap..whatever it takes..attend a fly-in if you
can. I think you will find that it puts a different spin on things
(TOM?) & a meeting of the mice is a wonderful thing..Jon

    Jon,

I haven't a clue what you said in your recent message but I seldom do.
However, it sounds likeOz has not sent the pictures of the Musketteers before the
doors are cut by the dealers. Get on him for that.

Sundowner vs Archer & doors.. OZ &TOM &JON

I thought it was a well-known fact that Musketeers actually all came
without windows or doors, just in case the new owner wanted to pick
window tint. Beech was very attentive to customer satisfaction.
Delivery pilots were actually riveted into the planes with a large
lunchbox and several current sectionals, and relied on the VOR system to
get them from place to place. In fact, I have heard that this was the
source of the rumor that Musketeers are difficult to land.

It also explains the large number of access panels on the interior
floor, as food would have to be provided to the pilot if the plane did
not sell immediately. Not to mention waste removal, of course.

As proof, I have a shot of my Sierra, N18942, from 1979 as it was being
delivered. Obviously this delivery pilot had no difficulty landing.

Sundowner vs Archer & doors.. OZ &TOM &JON

Well, that sews it up for Tom and Oz. Seeing is believing, right.... Sorry, Jon, I guess we were just out to lunch.

Wait a minute, wait a minute... how did Tom manage to sink a perfectly good Mouse, if it had no holes in it? Oh, that's right. He wasn't the "ferry" pilot. Most ferries float....
