    Midweek Fly-ins, Any Interest?

    Greetings all,

I have been wanting to post this question for some time and finally got
off my duff to do it. I was wondering if there is interest in getting
together for some midweek fly-ins. Just about all of the flying get
togethers are scheduled on the weekend. Unfortunately, my work week
goes from Friday through Sunday and am unable to get to most of them.
I was wondering if there are folks out there with similar weekend work
schedules. While this type of schedule seems pristine (3 days on and 4
days off, and I don't think I would change it for anything) it does
limit what is available for social activities. Everyone else I know
has to plan for weekend activities. Hence, I fly ALONE quite often.

There is a cool Bed and Breakfast at a drop zone in Ceres PA that hosts
a 3000 foot grass strip. I was at this B&B just this past couple weeks
and thought what a wonderful place for a Beech get together. The strip
is well maintained and fairly easy to fly into (once you find it). The
B&B (http://www.ozhomestay-huntinglodge.com/) has several rooms that
are reasonable and there is plenty of open space to camp out. This is
also home to Freefall Oz, a nice Skydiving Drop Zone. The airport is
the Ceres Airport (06PA). The closest paved runway is OLE (Olean NY)
and then ELZ (Wellsville, NY). BDF (Bradford) is not much further. All
of which have instrument approaches. I grew up in the Olean Area and
could offer services to host a fly-in here, but it would have to be a
midweek fly-in. Most of the Skydive activity is done on the weekend
and would require a little more planning to schedule a weekend get
    together there.

Just wondering if there would be any interest in doing this during the
week (M, Tu, W or Th)

    Any thoughts

    Gary Hanchett
