A friend of mine sent me this email, can anyone help him or point him in
a direction? He is cc'd on this email. (He flies a 172 but do not hold
    that against him)

    Hi all,
I have a magneto problem with my antique Slick 664 mags. Does anyone
have any leads on where I might get service for these out-of-production
magnetos or do you know of anyone who may have this type of magneto
available? Most salvage places don't have any, OK Aero engine is
closed for the next two weeks, Progressive wants to sell two new
replacements. I have tracked down some parts that a guy in South
America has but wonder if there are any experts closer to home. Any
    help is appreciated.
    Cheers

Those older Slicks weren't really meant to be rebuilt in the field,
so parts were always hard to come by. The mags were (relatively)
cheap, so everybody just replaced them when they went bad. Your
friend should think about doing the same.
