Also it would be good to know how remote or how developed people want to visit. I am pretty familiar with the out islands and tend to avoid the busy places. We can decide on places with limited resources but very unspoiled, up to fancy resorts. Our first BAC to Bahamas group trip was to Treasure Cay, which is well toward the developed resort end of the choices. Most of the smaller places are close to airstrips which leave lots of choices for day trips in the plane.
We need to move on this quickly. There is limited availablity at some of the choices. If you haven't been to the Bahamas in your plane it is a MUST do! We plan scuba diving, snorkeling etc. Paul is a fantastic "guide". He knows all the places and you will have a great time. I can't wait for it. I went to Stella Maris the weekend of Sun n Fun at Pauls recommendation and it was great. Bone fishing was an "experience".

Doug, our normal weekend for BAC to Gastons is the first weekend in November. Let me know if the Bahamas trip is over the same time frame so we can decide to move it up or back some.
thanks

Jay,
We are planning for the 2nd weekend in November. I think the 9-11th.

This is a big one on our bucket list......I may just have to chat with the Bride about this one.
Jay and Gary and others,
We are going to cut off any interest on June 30th so we can book the rooms. Please let us know if any others want to go and we will add you to the list.
Thanks

In my mind there probably is no reason to book too early unless you want Staniel Cay or Norman's Cay. Usually easy to find room that time of year if you want most places. Any idea yet where you want to go or how remote you want?
I would love to go, but I cannot commit this early. I may be taking my middle daughter to London where she will be schooling for 18 months, and her school starts November 4 (what is the best route for the mouse from Orlando to London?). I may therefore be a last minute addition. I just flew to Treasure Cay (albeit in a Piper Lance) last week and it was my first time over in a small plane. For anyone considering it, do it! It is an amazing flight and the islands look so good low and slow from the air. For anyone scared or concerned about it, don't be. GPS said it was only about 70 miles from Freeport to Ft. Lauderdale Executive where we cleared customs on the way back in. Remember, the plane does not know it is over water. By the way, went from executive to Boca and traded the Lance for a CJIII. Jets are nice, but they are too push button flying for me. Nice day though.
Paul, you may be right, but I called ( you can see there availability on there web sites also) Stella Maris and Staniel Cay's resort they only had very limited availability for our dates ( and other dates for that matter). What do you think?
