I will be there! I have to see Dave's Super. We have read the story and looked at the pictures, but that isn't the same as getting an up close look. My thought was to arrive around 8:30-9:00, but very flexible. Currently the weather looks good with cool temperatures, a big improvement over a couple weeks ago.

Jeez, I'd love to come, but we are starting our trip to Glacier National Park on Sunday. I grew up in Monticello and have flown there many times. If plans change, I'll be there!

I flew my only real NDB approach there many years ago - in snow. The NDB was 5 miles form the field with a dogleg turn over the NDB. I won't forget that one! Of course now it's been replaced with GPS approaches.

North Central Mini Fly In Report

The North Central Mini Fly-In was a success. We met at a very busy Monticello Iowa airport and enjoyed a pancake breakfast. Turnout was large and varied, with planes of all types continually coming and going.

We had 3 airplanes, and 10 total BAC pilots or passengers! Denis Weiser brought his Super and Dave Leedom brought his Sport.

Counting the happy grandbaby (and the photographer) - we had 10 BAC passengers! At least one passenger was a pilot who's never flown in a Baby Beech before, and seemed impressed (even wth my landings).

It was a beautiful morning before the T-storms started firing up. I'm glad everyone could come, and hope you all had a nice time.

It was sure nice to see another Super too!
