Who we are

This website is organized and maintained by a committee established by the Beech Aero Club (BAC). The Beech Aero Club is governed by its Articles of Incorporation and its Bylaws which can be found on our website under the menu item “Member Resources/Document Library/ BAC Documents/Club & Admin Documents//Club Documents.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Non-logged in visitors to the website will have their IP address retained in logs for a period not to exceed one year.

Logged in users have their username and email retained by the website as profile data. Usernames will appear in some logs. No other personal data is logged. In general we do not log website activity by user and do not gather or retain website usage in a way that identifies an individual user’s browsing.

Paid members are asked to provide their basic contact profile for member service including address, phone number and other data. Because of US financial regulations we are required to retain basic identifying data on parties we accept money from indefinitely.

Only the username, “displayname”, BAC membership region are visible to logged in users by default. Only username and displayname is visible to non-logged in users. A user has full ability to control the sharing and visibility of all other profile fields. The basic user identification is needed to allow interaction with other members. The staff, volunteers and authorized sub-contractors of Beech Aero Club have access to full profile data to allow service and support of members.
