“Meet in the Air” over Hopkinton, Massachusetts and fly along the race route towards Boston. See 25,000 plus runners start the race and watch them make their way 26.2 miles. (The last 12 miles of the race requires a Boston Class Bravo clearance which is outside the fly-in boundaries). The majority of runners will begin at 10:00 EDT so we will meet at 1,400′ at 9:30. You’ll be using your best safety protocols because you will have helicopters a few hundred feet below you… and helicopters just above you… and banner tows at your wingtips. This is a pilot event that you’ll be talking about for years and years. Important: VFR only; get the list of BAC prepared protocols that have been reviewed by the FAA.
