Even if you learn how, and have the proper A&P oversight, you must have a suitable timing tool. One such tool is in the link below. It is less expensive than some others, since it does not have the E-gap timing function that is needed during a mag repair or overhaul, but it does a fine job of timing and synchronizing the mags.
