I just got new wing tips from Globe and they look good. Now the problem is paint. I have searched the web looking for someone that handles or can cross the Beech P/N with no luck. I only need about a pint of Matterhorn White, the cheap stuff not the high cost epoxy paint. If anyone has a suggestion other than going to the local auto parts store please let me know.

Most paint stores can scan your color and make a formula. With the age of the paint a factor, you want to polish a section (on the old wingtips?) and take it to the paint shop for them to match. For something like “Matterhorn white” (AKA refrigerator white), they should have no trouble mixing up the paint to match.

For solid colors the paint must cover the substrate color and white has poor coverage. On metallic colors the paint application process can spray several “colors” out of one can, so technique and reduction of the paint is important to the final color.
