If you have never been to Hickory Park, it is well worth a visit. It is locally famous for BBQ and ice cream.

I can't wait to see you all there!

    About Hickory Park:
Hickory Park Restaurant Co. currently resides in its third location in Ames. Hickory Park was established in 1970, and since its inception has become an Ames tradition! Hickory Park's reputation has flourished from an expansive menu filled with a variety of hickory smoked meats served in generous portions. The weather across the region has been just awful lately, with high winds for days and severe storms as I type this... but the predictions are for clear skies and calm winds on Saturday for our fly-in to Ames Iowa.

Please come join us - we have 5 aircraft planning to attend so far... but room for many more! Come fly out, enjoy the nice weather, and have some great BBQ!

Here is a link about the airport:

And don't forget to check NOTAMS before you go. It looks like Runway 13/31 is closed (that is the shorter runway) - so I'll have to try to land the Skipper on the 5701' long runway 1/19.

If you are planning on attending, please RSVP to me by email so we'll know to expect you.

Can't wait to see you all this weekend!
