• BAC Member Gary Cavasos dies in accident

I have the sad duty to report that fellow member Gary Cavasos of Los Alamos, NM has died in an accident in his Bonanza in Arizona. Details are sketchy, but it appears Gary was the sole occupant of the plane. Authorities don't have many details at this point, the least of which is the cause of the accident.

Gary was a nice man, good pilot, instructor and a friend to all the BAC members he had the opportunity to meet. I know you all join me in sending our condolences to Gary's family and particularly his fun-loving wife, Liz. He will be missed.

    UPDATE; June 24, 2010

Debbie Boyce made contact with a family member, here is the situation:

Service will be Thursday or Friday of next week, depending on when release is made from the medical examiner.

You can comment and offer condolances in the original thread at http://www.beechaeroclub.org/showthr...es-in-accident.
