register for BAC Fest 2008 for the best BAC Fest ever! This year's event will be in California at the Santa Maria Airport (KSMX), October 8th - 12th. We will be hosted by the Radisson Inn which is located right on the airport premises. In fact, you can taxi up to the door of the hotel and park your plane so you can see it from your room. No rental car or cabs needed! How cool is that?!Please read the following carefully for an overview of events and make a mental note that you have to register for the hotel, winery tour and BAC Fest at three separate locations.

Things get started on Wednesday evening, October 8th, with a cocktail reception. Then on Thursday, Oct. 9th, we will have two presentations from local experts in the fields of avionics and aircraft painting. Also, on Thursday, we will be treated to a BAC member's special Musketeer that has several interesting and legal mods. Plus, Thursday's lunch will be some of the world famous barbeque catered by the top local vendor!

And that's not all, Thursday evening we'll have the opportunity to have a sunset dinner at Pismo Beach for those that want to do that. But if you prefer, you can also have a romantic dinner on your own at any of the numerous fine restaurants.

For spouses and guests on Thursday, there is a local area wine tour which you can sign up for when you register. Plus, the Chumash Resort & Casino is nearby with free shuttle service available if you get the itch to gamble a little.

Friday, Oct. 10th, features our member business luncheon with lots to discuss. And, the spouses will be treated to their own private lunch complete with a special presentation by our keynote speaker, Mrs. Gene Nora Jessen.

Then, Friday evening at the grand banquet, we will have fine dining, cocktails and lots of camaradrie capped off with a presentation to all attendees by Mrs. Jessen. She will talk about her historical flying past which includes participating in space exploration, the introduction of the Musketeer line of planes and much, much more! You won't want to miss that!

And last, but certainly not least, Saturday is at your leisure unless you signed up for the Savvy Aviator seminar being held by Mike Busch. This seminar has been offered to BAC members at special pricing but you have to move fast. The seminar is filling up and you have to register separately at www.savvyaviator.com.

So, as you can see it is a pretty full event with lots to see, do and learn! We're expecting a big turnout, especially from the western members, particularly the members in California so don't wait too long to register. Get a room with a view of the airfield by registering early!

Register for you hotel room at Radisson Hotel. And be sure to use the promo code "BEECH."

If you, your spouse or guest are going to take the Santa Maria Winery Tour then register for that at Winery Tour.

See you in California!
