N3698Q Restoration Project

N3698Q Restoration Project
N3698Q began life in October 1967. In her first year, she flew about 130 hours in Houston TX as a factory demonstrator.

In November 1968, she was purchased by a businessman in Cedar Rapids IA. He kept her hangared and well maintained until 1984, racking up a total of 628 hours. He flew her for business and pleasure, often flying his friends and family around the midwest.

Over the next 4 years she was annualled, but not flown. Since 1988, she has sat ignored in a closed t-hanger.

This gallery will document the restoration process starting in June 2011. The goal is to restore her to flying status and give her new life as a family airplane.

Update: Hangarmouse has been restored and active since March 2012. She is a great traveling airplane and a solid instrument platform. I hope this gallery helps someone in the future.
