    brake discs, A&P help

    Group,

Measured my discs the other day after getting information from this
site on the Clevland min thickness. I will be needing brakes and the
discs have a high spot on them. They are under min a bit even at the
edges so I need to replace them before the next annual. Question is,
can the discs be removed without taking apart the tire? Want to make
sure what is needed as my regular A&P is no longer available and do
not want to get laid going to a new shop by not knowing what is
    required?

    Thanks

    Al

The tire doesn't literally have to come off the rims, but it has to have the Schrader valve removed and be completely deflated. The same three bolts that hold the disk on, hold the two wheel halves together.
