A deadbeat buyer who as recently as yesterday was planning to
pick up and pay for our Sundowner Friday, has backed out of
the deal at the last minute....we're guessing because he
hadn't sold his old plane yet.

So, my dad is once again re-listing his 1977 Sundowner.
Here's a re-post of the posting I put in just before OSH 2005.

Also, the guy had signed an AOPA Buyer's agreement, so comments
as to how YOU would deal with this sort of deadbeat buyer would
be welcomed. In theory, there should be some legal recourse

Here's the post:

Thanks, Tim

Some may remember last fall when My father and I who shared our
Sundowner were selling, because I was building an RV-10 and needed
the cash out of my 1/2 of the plane.

At that time, my very attached-to-his-plane father decided that
he just couldn't part with the plane. We both love the Sundowner
and it's served us very well.

At present though, he's finding that he's not got the time
available to dutifully serve her well by flying her often,
and as a single-owner, he's decided that he should sell it
before they move south this Fall.

Some general specs are as follows:

77 Beech Sundowner. (N251L M-1896)
IFR Equipped. Approx 4940 TT - 650 SMOH
(2 door model)

New Mitchell MX 170B recently
Dual VOR OBS's
Narco 890 DME
S-Tec System 20 Autopilot
King KR86 ADF
King KT-78 Transponder
King KMA-20 Audio Panel
Sigtronics Stereo 4 place intercom with music and pilot/crew iso
Digital Chronometer
Electronics Intl UBG-16 Bar graph analyzer with
4-cylinder EGT / CHT + OAT, Vacuum, AMPS and Volts,

We've spent lots of good time and money on it in the past
few years to make it better than the day we bought it.
The Annual is due 5/2006

He's asking $54,000
