    OSH flyin

The first day is over and was a success, except for the turnout. We
ended up with 3 mice and six people, but we are an international
event, as Don and Janet Batemann made it in (VFR!) from Canada. The
weather was clear below 12000 but with 2 1/2 miles visibility for a
while this morning, which must have affected attendance. We had a
Musketeer, not from our group, take off and return to the airport
because of visibility, so we invited him over for refreshments and to
hear the FAA presentation. Possible new member?

To those of you that couldn't make it today, we'd love to see you
tomorrow. Just taxi to the Hilton. Buffet breakfast until 9:00 or
so, then a 9:30 departure to the Green Bay FSS. After the tour there,
we will fly the Ripon Approach back to OSH.

Hope to see more here tomorrow.

    More ietails and pictures later.

    Bob,

Great seeing you guys, and hopefully Don and Janet made it back across the lake. The haze and the ride back home was interesting Did you ever find the cell phone?

Great time - too bad the haze may have kept a few folks grounded.

    OSH flyin

Well, the flyin is over, and we had a small but great group - a total
of six people and three mice. We probably set a record - we had 100%
spouse attendance (though Mark and his wife are both pilots, so I
don't know which one to count as the spouse!).

Also, I'd like to thank Mark for working with me on this one. He is
the one responsible for the great lunch on Saturday as well as the
fly-out to the Green Bay FSS.

The FSS tour was great, and the facilities are lot more modern than I
thought they would be. Just finding out about the VADs winds display
was worth the trip. You don't know what a VADs wind display is? I
guess you should have been there...
