The flight back to Dubuque will be 29NM down the Mississippi river valley with great scenery for the 13 min flight.Total flight time without taxi is approx. 1 hour.A chartered bus will bring the non-fliers to the island to join in the lunch.Check out the Abel Island website for more information on the airstrip http://abelisland.com/.

Margie and I will fly commercial to Chicago. Then, rent a car and take 3 or 4 days looking around as tourists on the drive to Dubuque, which is only 3 1/2 hours away.
We will now start to search the highlights of Illinois attractions for guidance. Anyone interested in joining this extended adventure should contact us.

I must be blind, but I don't see a link to register even though the information on BACFest is great. If it is there, it needs to be more obvious.

Avoid the South side of Chicago, it's the baddest part of town.
