    Flight Liability release

Does anyone have a canned form that a passenger can sign that will
serve as a release of liability if I take them for a ride. I know
these are not worth much but can a least serve to show it was
discussed. I do not plan on crashing.........but none of us do. I was
going to offer a 30 min ride to a local Cancer foundation as a fund
    raising tool. Thanks

    Al

    Flight Liability release

When I found out how little they are worth, I skipped these; but you might check with AOPA. The key problem with the release is that the passenger cannot sign away the rights of others to sue, including family members and estate.

If you do a BAC search on briefing, you'll find a passenger briefing form for the Sierra, under Downloads. This form meets the FAA passenger briefing requirements, and includes interesting facts about the plane. I also use it as a laminated handout during formal ride ops such as Young Eagles. It serves as a take-home item for the kids (and adults), that they can keep, along with their Young Eagles booklet, as a reminder of the event. You could probably modify it to incorporate a liability release, if you prefer, along with customizing it for your plane.

    Flight Liability release

    Hi All,

Accidents arn't always during operations. Years ago
there was a serious injury, when a lady walked or ran
into a stationary prop, and I once had a passenger
slip on the ice getting out of my sundowner onto the
tarmac, and got a bad sprain and bruises. Is there any
form or ins policy that can cover all bases? I have my
doubts, but I still introduce young and old to the
thrill of flying, when they express interest. Maybe
someday I'll regret it, but if we don't, who will?

    Flight Liability release

Al, a friend of mine built some time in my musketeer
back about the time MM members were talking about 'you
can't sign away someone else's right to sue'. I
seriously considered having my friend and his wife
both sign a release... Just incase he wasn't around
    and she decided to sue.
