    Welcome to BAC! It's the best investment you can make for your airplane (and you).

    I managed to get some dual in a 172 in your country a few years ago. Took off from Sde Dov in Tel Aviv and did a few touch and goes at Masada. Strange to be below sea level at pattern altitude! Enjoy your Sierra!

    First welcome to the club, and great choice of planes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Flying opened a whole new door into my education.

    Last night a funny thing happened. Santa Barbara has an elevation of 10. Density Altitude was minus 100. I had never heard that before.

    More thread hi-jack. Friday Harbor, WA (KFHR) reported DA = minus 250' this morning. Altimeter setting was 26.62"Hg.

    About a year ago I flew into South Haven Michigan. Field elevation 665. Density altitude -900.
