    Garmin 196/296/396 Panel Dock

Before mounting a portable GPS into a panel, check it to make sure it does
not interfere with the compass. The GPS I have must be at least seven
inches away from the compass. If I had panel mounted it I would have to
relocate the compass. The RAM mount will hold it five inches away from the
panel and I turned the mount around on the vertical card compass to get the
other two inches of separation. Be sure to check it first.

    Garmin 196/296/396 Panel Dock

I am very pleased with Anywheremap and made a simple small bracket
for my PocketPC. It's mounted between the throttle quadrant and the
primer, using the holes that Beech put in for the fake landing gear
switch. Gotta remember to take the camera and post a photo.

I could mount on the panel rather than on my yoke. I've also
considered the RAM mounts, but wasn't sure it would work well with
    the larger Garmin units.
