Good advice from John. To expand a bit, here are some added thoughts:



Check the nose gear centering cable. If it is screwed up, it can have odd
side effects. One side effect is to pull the nosewheel to one side. I
doubt that this is your problem, as you imply that it flies straight and
level with your feet on the floor. If the cable is pulling the nose gear to
one side, it will also pull rudder to that side, and you find yourself
holding significant opposite rudder in cruise (to obtain a centered ball).



Check the aileron rod-end bearings. It is unfortunately still too common to
find dry and rusty forward bearings on the aileron pushrods (at the inboard
end of each aileron). They tend to get overlooked during annual
lubrication, and dry ball-ends can create odd side effects.



There are two springs; the aileron-rudder interconnect spring under the
floor, and the aileron centering spring under the panel. Both should be
checked.



And finally, make sure that the nosewheel is pointed straight ahead when
making the control check. If it is cocked at all to either side, even by
small amounts, it will have a noticeable effect on relative control movement
resistance in one direction.

Try lifting the nose off the ground and have someone move the rudder pedals
from one side to the other, then see where the nosewheel settles. Sounds
like the spring is misadjusted or has some other problem with it.

New to the Beech A23-24 Super III. When i do a control check;
(freedom of ovement) the ailerons seem stiffer to move in one
direction only. Also the rudder pedals seem to move slightly as
well. Is this an interconnection with the aileron and rudders or is
something binding or not working as it should? Should i be
concernend? Why only the noticeable stiffness in one direction only;
control column to the righ? Should the resistance be in both
directions? If anyone can help that would be great. Also if it is
normal is it adjustable? The A/C flys quite well, straight and level.
