I'm looking to replace my AI and my DG.

    If the answer to my question in the previous post is, yes;

I'm considering the Sigma-Tek Model 5000B AI and the Sigma-Tek Model 4000B DG that I see on page 332 if my 2003-2004 Aircraft Spruce catalog.

Any experience with or comments on these instruments?

*** Have you considered having yours overhauled? I had mine done by The
Gyro House in Auburn, CA. They're not cheap, but the gyros have performed
flawlessly ever since. I understand that they replace all the bearings,
    unlike some....

I also had the vacuum pump replaced.

    Cloyd,

I replaced my DG with a Sigma-Tek (not sure what model but I think
1U262-007-40) two years ago and have been very pleased. It has a heading
bug, which I purchased because I knew eventually I'd be buying an
autopilot. Even if you're not considering an autopilot I highly
recommend the heading bug. It is a tremendous aid in keeping on course
and marking your next heading. My instrument instructor made me use it
religiously even for minor adjustments in heading. It will be one of the
best $100+ investments you'll ever make to your airplane.

I see that one. Looks like another $150. Maybe I'll be a big spender.

*** I've lusted after one of these ever since I bought the King Instrument
Checkride tape. Martha uses one on her checkride.... I have a stick-on
bug for the altimeter. I suppose I could use one on the DG too, just leave
    it pointing straight up .
