    Why are Sundowners 180HP

    Group,

I have seen some posts for other upgrades but cannot find one for this
question. Just wondered why the fixed gear A23-24 200HP did not
continue with the Sundowner? Seems it would have been a good idea.
Also assume it could not be upgraded when origianl engine is spent.
May have made some baaaaaaaaaad assumptions here. Anyone know the
    facts?

    Al

    Why are Sundowners 180HP

    Al,

The 200 hp Musketeer became the Sierra. They did this when they
standardized the product line to the Sundowner, Sierra and Sport. Prior
to that a Musketeer meant up to 5 different engines and performance
numbers, which was confusing, especially in the sales process.

You cannot upgrade to the 200hp from the 180. The only upgrade I am
aware of is a field approval for the 150 to 160, which we cannot do here
    in Canada, US only.

I have the A23-24 and love it. It is a great airplane and a good
    performer.
