    West Coast U.S. Fly Ins?

    Hello, Everyone.
I am still new to the club and I'm interested if there are any BAC Fly Ins on the West Coast of the U.S.. I would love to go to one if there is! Thank you and tailwinds.

If it hasn't already been said, welcome to BAC. BAC fly in's are down due to the virus world stuff. If you are on FB try California Pilots Association, Airport Flyins and there may be others.

Any member can call a fly in, just start a thread, post it on the calendar and see who shows up!

    Jake-

Welcome to the BAC family! Great paint job on the airplane. As Michael mentioned, fly-ins have been down due to the COVID virus. Just as things have started to open up there is a little bit of "spiking of the virus" in certain geographic locations although I think up where you are at is not too bad. It looks like at least one family member has reached out to you. Hopefully you guys can put together a nice little fly-in for a few BAC members. Just submit the receipt for the dining costs to John Persinger, our BAC President and you will be reimbursed.

How you get reimbursed for expenses at a Beech Aero Club fly-in.

Any member can post a fly-in for anyplace at any time. Even outside your region.
For reimbursement for incentives (lunch, favors, take home items) you must...

Post the event at least 5 days in advance on the club website on the Event Calendar.
The director from the event location must pre-approve your spending plan.
Save receipts and send them to the region director.
Make a list of attendees and the tail number of participating aircraft plus their departure point for mileage tally.
The region director will apply for your reimbursement to the treasurer which may take a while.

Many club fly-ins are posted and attended by members just for fun with no club financial involvement.
Want to meet other members? Post a fly-in.

Hello Jake , Welcome to BAC !!!
The club has no problem with picking up and reimbursing expenses for Fly ins. Tom has mentioned the rules below.

Post the event at least 5 days in advance on the club website and on the Event Calendar ( it would really help all involved to plan and hopefully get a bigger attendance .We can even put it in the newsletter . )

The regional director from the event location must pre-approve your spending plan. ( please reach out to your director ,They don't bite and you will already have a participant or help with it. )

Save receipts and send them to the region director. ( they can be emailed, scanned and sent )

Make a list of attendees and the tail number of participating aircraft plus their departure point for mileage tally. (Camera phone pics of the group and a little story for the club newsletter .) Alan White has been putting out the newsletter for years and he is always in constant need of material.

The region director will apply for your reimbursement to the treasurer which may take a while .( If there is a delay the Club President can get your reimbursement resolved .I do not foresee that being an issue. )

As for COVID-19 . Please just exercise common sense . We have had some fly ins recently and all turned out well.
