Average costs should now be closer to one-half of what it cost Bill H. A
new centering cable isn't normally needed during donut replacement; and if
the cable itself is frayed, one can usually be field-fabricated by
transferring most of the hardware to a new fabricated cable.

The donuts and standard Jo-bolts are now roughly half price from AEC,
compared to what Bill had to pay. With the instructions and video BAC hopes
to produce, a mechanic should not face an extended project with time
over-runs. For example, an owner could probably handle the pre-compression
routine, and take the compressed donuts to the shop when the shop is ready
to start work. Of course, these are airplanes, with a lot of age on them.
It is always possible to run across something else during any project, just
like during any Annual.
