The Sundowner was certified under CAR 3 as are most Cessnas. No life
limits were defined in CAR 3. It depended on the manufacturers to set
the life limits of the design.

There are Cessnas that have over 15000 hours. Beech builds better
airplanes, IMO. So yours should be able to make 12000 hours with
proper care. At your rate of flying it should take 30-40 years.

I'd upgrade
