Al Schmid is a BAC member who just joined on October 22. He has owned his B23 for six years, based in KOQU. He holds ATP, Multi, Instrument ratings, and has almost 27,000 hours, about 300 of them in Type. He was first licensed in 1957. I sure hope that he is OK. Sounds like the airframe strength served him in good stead.

A '69 Beech Musketeer B23 went down in Connecticut yesterday a few
mile from Windham airport. The pilot, A. Schmid, 76, from Rhode
Island, was taken to a local hospital in fair condition. All the
report said was he lost control.
