    Gear Actuator

    Fellow Mice Pilots:

The right gear actuator has a small crack in it and loses all of the
hydraulic fluid in short order. The prognosis---I need to replace
    the gear actuator.

My A & P found a new gear actuator from API for $5250. A used gear
actuator can be purchased for $1995.

Would you "risk" the used part or sell your first-born to pay for
    the new unit?

Do any of you know of another source for this part---new or used and
if so, what is the best price that you can find?

    My plane is a Beech Sierra C24R (M/C 616)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

As always, thanks for your input.

    Gear Actuator

It depends on the condition of the used actuator. For $2K it sounds
like it is "as removed". This means you get to buy its faults as
well as its virtues. Is it overhaulable? Can you get yours
    overhauled/rebuilt? $3200 buys a lot of overhauls.

    Hi Gene

My name is Steve Phillips and I recently have a similar problem with an actuator in my Sierra B-24

Can you tell me where you found the part for $350.00?

    Thanks---Steve
