I have had to replace mine at about a three year interval. (78 c23) I am
having everything firewall forward rebuilt at Dawson Aviation, in Dawson, GA
as we speak. Overhauling engine, prop, accessories, etc. The mounts are bad
again. This will be the third set in ten years.

Do a BAC search on 'Barry mount' and read the posts. Lots of good info on
    Lord versus Barry.

Note that the gel spacers that come in two of the Lord mounts rarely last
more than six months, before the gel oozes out. I'm planning to go with
Barry on the next pass, and see how the start-up/shut-down compares.

Also note that these particular mounts come with a 'pre-sag' already in
them. That's part of the reason why they have a locating pin to make sure
they are properly oriented when they are installed. You can't tell their
condition just by looking for signs of sag. You can only evaluate them by
comparing them to a new cushion set.
