    Lord Mounts

I have a 1980 Sundower SN 2226 and will need to replace my mounts this
annual. Actually only two appear to be cracking but want to do them
all. I have the following part numbers and wondering if anyone can
verify they are good. They are from the latest Beach manual but
sometimes the numbers are not current. Second, is it wise to replace
everything on the list or just the rubber mount? And third, where is
the best place to buy these parts. Thanks

The IPC for the pre-1978 Sundowners show engine mount cushions, bolts, and
    nuts as follows:
    J7402-16 cushions
    AN7-34A/M bolts
    MS20365-720/M heat resistant self-locking nuts

I believe that the J7402-16 number is for a set of two cushions, and four
sets are required for the engine. I believe that the bolts and nuts are
standard hardware, with the exception that they are supposed to be
    Magnafluxed.

The IPC for the post-1977 Sundowners show engine mount cushions, bolts, and
    nuts as follows:
J7402-16 cushions (You have a typo that shows J7404-16)
130909B6 bolts (You have a typo that shows 13090986)
    130909N3 heat resistant self-locking nuts

I believe that these bolts and nuts are actually standard hardware, with the
exception that they are Magnafluxed and color-coded/re-numbered to reflect
that. Beech seemed to switch to a new numbering system for the
particle-inspected hardware somewhere around 1978. The Stab Tab linkage
reflects the same nomenclature change on the bolts and nuts. I can't find
any commercial reference to this new numbering system; I have been trying to
find out whether it is Beech-unique, or some evolving new standard for
particle-inspected hardware. In addition, the B6 bolt appears to have been
superseded; I believe that it is now the B60 bolt.

I should have some independent confirmation of the above within a couple of
days. You should not need new mount hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, roll
pin, spacer), unless you find chafing damage. The bolt is supposed to be
torqued up solidly against the spacer, so there is not normally any damage
to the bolt, nut, and washer from use. Since the nut is the heat-resistant
type, it is unlikely to have lost its grip tension.
