Damage in Fuel Tank due to careless fueler at SPORTY'S!

Standing in front of the left wing peering down into the tank there is
a wall of metal material just outboard of the fueling port. Very close
to the port. The goofy service guy at SPORTY'S (Clairmont County,
Batavia OH) jammed the hose nozzle into this wall gouging it and
tearing it.. looks like a small puncture as well. And this on a
Saturday near Christmas last (free hot dogs at noon) with little or no
traffic... I mean he wasn't in a hurry.

I just discovered the damage while draining the tank to replace the
    sump valve.

This wall appears to be honeycomb material and may be a baffle to
mitigate fuel sloshing around in the tank in flight causing lateral
imbalance. It's a beautiful piece of material, very shiny - apparantly
    stainless steel.

Is this serious damage? Can I ignore it? The wall's integrity appears
sound and the hole is very small, may not even go through both sides
of the wall (if it is indeed honeycomb). Just the first layer.

I've yet to call Hal Shevers out at SPORTY'S to complain. Need to know
    how serious this is first.

I have posted pix in the maintence folder on BAC website. The site
will only allow tiny email format pictures so they are too small to be
of any use I think. If anyone wants large format pix please email me
and I'll send 'em on to you.
