    Value 1969 BE23

I will be retiring in the very near future and will be living in
Mexico for 6 months each year. I can't see me leaving my plane idle
for 6 months each year, so I'm sad to say that I must sell her. Can
anyone help me with putting a value on her.

    1969 BE23 180 HP
    10,272 TTAF
    220 SMOH
Wing leading edge damage repair 1990
    IFR
    2- KX170B nav/com
    Glide slope indicator
    ADF
    Mode C
    Audio panel
    David Clark intercom
    Davtron OAI (digital)
Reif cylinder and sump pre heat system
    Paint 8
    Interior 7

I am the second owner of this plane and have spared no expense in
maintaining her. I have overahuled the engine (new Cylinders),
replaced the vacuum pump, installed Reif cylinder and sump pre heat
system, muffler, oil hoses, tubes, tires, brake
linings, new windshield, Davtron digital outside air sensor (no hole
in the windshield). The plane has always been kept in a hanger. The
previous owner was a community college that maintained the airplane
to the highest standards with government funds.

I really hate to sell her as it is a great airplane. Any help with
    the value would be appreciated.

    Tom,

Can't you fly her to Mexico, I would think that the weather would be ideal
for flying the six months that you are there, I'm assuming it will be during
    the winter.

There are some very specific considerations when contemplating flying an
aircraft into Mexico! Suggest all who are considering this to carefully
consult all available sources, particularly there is some very informative
information provided by AOPA. Pay particular attention to the prohibited
    clauses in your insurance!
