Group,

I was fortunate enough to get a gift from the family for my birhday of
an IQue 3600a from Garmin. It is about 400 less than a 296. I have
used it now about 5 hrs. It is also a PDA. I quite admit I was looking
at the 296 because I have not used a PDA and was not sure of the
performance. If you want to save money on a GPS with terrain and
obsticle awareness, color moving map, 3D GPS for digital flight
instruments, nearest button for airports, VORs, NDB, Weather, ARTCC,
FSS and WAAS capable with PDA, it is a sleeper. The only drawback is
that in our 24 volt systems, you must get the travel cigarette plug in
to use it as the IQue 3600a only accepts 12V DC.
