    STC for Wing Tips

First of all, tell him congratulations. The Madras tips will make a
phenomenal difference in his low speed handling and stall speed. We have
the STC for these and certainly could send him a copy of it. Have him
e-mail me at jwwaterman@comcast.net. This would probably be a good
addition to the BAC website. I will post a copy to Tim for posting.

I had a question asked of me via my website. The following is the
question. Can someone help with an answer to send him?

Our 66 Beech Musketeer is in the paint shop. The wingtips were not
very good so I proceded to look for new ones. I found a pair of
Madras wingtips at Discount Aircraft Salvage. I had them shipped up
    here to Canada.
Problem: I am told I need an STC for them.
Could you tell me how or where I might obtain this document?

    STC

I thought each STC was aircraft specific, n number and model number required? Will the FAA allow installation using some elses STC copy? I heard they won't allow a 337 if an STC is available -Thanks for the info Bob L.

    STC for Wing Tips

Ya beat me to it John - I have the STC also. One note - it lowers
your max gross - mine by 75 lbs if memory serves. Everyone who flys
my plane really likes the way it handles. I have some of the
original advertising, letters from satisfied customers, etc. that I
can copy and upload the useful stuff to BAC if there is interest.

    STC for Wing Tips

    Hi all,

I had the madras tips on my sundowner for years, and I
really liked them. I think they helped a lot when I
used to go into the grass strips really slow. I don't
think they helped cruise speed, but they sure didn't
hurt it any. If I ever need tips on my sierra, I'll
    look for madras.

I sent the scanned documents to Tim, so you should see them soon in
