    [BAC-Mail] Centering Cable for B23

For those of you who may be getting held hostage on parts like this by
today's R&R artists, you can refer your mechanic to the very first page of
Section 3 in the Maintenance Manual. It specifically authorizes the use of
AC43 for the repair of the plane, unless otherwise specified for a
particular component. AC43 covers the fabrication of components such as a
cable using standard hardware, as well as much of any needed structural
repair. If your technician or shop doesn't seem to know how to fabricate
small parts like this, find a better shop, or have the part properly made
elsewhere yourself. Wag-Aero often has good fabrication capabilities.

If the bolt is OK, your A&P can use it in fabricating a new assembly,
following instructions in AC 43-13-1, including the overload strength test.

    [BAC-Mail] Centering Cable for B23

    Rodney,

My mechanic at Huntington Airport (HHG) has worked on at least 3
different Musketeers and I have been very happy with his work on my 1969
B23. You can contact Mark Kutter at 260-571-1833 and feel free to tell
him I gave you his name.

    Hi David,

I noticed you are in Indiana. Do you know of a mechanic or shop that
    is
    familiar with the Musketeers? I've got a '65 A23.

    Thanks,
    Rodney French
