Thread: Are pilot seats interchangeable?

    Are pilot seats interchangeable?

I'd like to switch the seats... right seat fabric needs more wear,
    left seat is wearing out.

    David-
On our '78 Sierra the seats can be switched though there is a 'left'
and 'right' determined by the accessability of the seat adjustment
knob. I don't know what baby Beech you have so I can only speak for
our plane. My guess would be that you can swap them from side to side.

I swapped my two seats more than a year ago and I haven't noticed any
    problems in my 1972 Sport.

    David:

I have to agree with Chris. Last year during my annual I accidentally switched the two seats in my 74 B24R Sierra. They slid into the seat tracks with no problem, but found that the seat belt loops were in the wrong location. It all depends on your seat configuration.
