    BAC East Flight Home

Well I am glad to see that everyone made it home safe, but I haven't heard from Don and Janice Bateman, did they get home today or are they still stuck some where?

Myself, Tim Flight, Tom and Marjorie Corcoran headed out from Dayton yesterday and flew together, not really sure were we would put down for fuel and flying VFR on top at 11,500 and 170 knots across the ground. We found a hole above Hagerstown, MD (HGR) and decided to put down their, what a great FBO, they even bake cookies in the morning, we spent the night there waiting for the weather to improve.

We lifted off about 7:30 this morning and headed north as a flight of two in the most forgiving sky's a pilot could ask for, doing about 130 knots across the ground and not a cloud or bump in site.

We parted ways a Sparta VOR (SAX) and headed our separate directions, keeping in contact until Tom was about 20 miles out from his home (1B9).

Myself and Tim put down in Sanford, Me (SFM) for fuel and food and then headed off to Tim's home in Carrabasett Valley (B21) and then I finished the flight to Wiscasset, Me (IWI). Arriving home about 2PM all in all it was a great day to fly.

    BAC East Flight Home

    Hi:

Janet & I arrived home at 6:00 pm. Monday after a 3 1/2 hour wait in Sandusky for things to clear over Lake Erie and London. When we arrived at our home base in Wingham - CPR7, there was about 6" of wet slushy snow on the taxiway into the hangar. We had a good time in spite of the weather and it was great to meet everyone.

    Don & Janet
