    Griffith/Merrillville Fly-in September 16th

Don't forget about the fly-in at the Griffith/Merrillville airport on
September 16th. This event is sponsored by Beech Aero Club but is for
anyone that likes to fly, wants to fly, wants to talk about flying, or
just wants to be around a baby Beech!

This is a Pilots With Presents fly-in at Griffith Merrillville, IN (05C)
which is located in Northwestern Indiana. This is a great place and a
great reason to have a BAC fly-in! The presents portion of the day is
sponsored by the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. People are
encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy (approx $10 to $15 value) that
the Salvation Army will distribute at Christmas time. In return the
pilot will receive a custom prepared omelet brunch or burger lunch. The
Grumman group is considering being there, and the local lunchwaffe group
will be there. In years past this has been a very well attended event.
The host of the BAC/Musketeer portion of the fly-in, Ron Mattson, says
there is a promise of a fuel discount. Ron is also arranging for us to
have our own Beechcraft parking row. Unless I hear differently let's
figure a time frame of 8 AM to 2 PM Eastern Time. Ron's email address is
    <rmattson@flash.net>.
