Carb Heat Cable - Sundowner M2227

My '79 Sundowner's carb heat cable broke (PN 169-380087-7). I've read
that there may be a lower cost Aircraft Spruce alternative to the
Beech PN but there is no Spruce part number information. Anyone know
    any info?

In most cases the ACS cable (not made by Aircraft Spruce, but sold by them)
is NOT PMA approved, but can be approved by your IA and the local FSDO.

Step one would be to remove the cable and measure it. You'll have to
remove it anyway, no matter what cable you buy.

Then compare its construction to those offered by Spruce.

    cables, too.)

If you don't like what you see, you might contact McFarlane about having
one custom made. They make many PMA approved cables and would be an
acceptable vendor for your local FSDO to approve (since they have PMA
approval and inspected production facilities). That will be easier than
    any other non-approved vendor.
