BAF Fly-In just Before PEI, Canada

Steve Cote has been hyping his fly-in in Western Massachusetts for Saturday May 21. OK. OK. I'll be there Steve. Someone would think you were in the selling business mentioning BAF over and over.

Well, I haven't once heard you mention the first BAC official fly-in in Canada. That's on Saturday July 2, 2005. The featured event will be the island tours by members of the PEI Flying Association in their own cars ending in a trip to New Glascow Lobster Suppers (regular restaurant price applies).

If you saw the date Sunday July 3 that is wrong. Yes, I gave that to the webmaster but he still must be to blame. But, go to PEI for a few days. It is a wonderful magic place.

So there Cote. I've been man enough to mention YOUR fly-in. Now you find a way to mention MY fly-in.

BAF Fly-In just Before PEI, Canada

    Sheesh! Some people...
Well all right, since I did bless Oz's little soirée' down at Falcon
Field, I suppose I should be even handed to the north. Besides, I guess
PEI is about as 'Northeast' one can get in the Northeast Region.

Not only will this be the first Canadian BAC Fly-In, but Prince Edward
Island is one of the most beautiful parts of Canada. (D'oh! Now I've
done it. I'll be hearing from all the other provinces now.) It is only
because of previous commitments, most emphatically reinforced by the
missus, that I can't go myself. And that is a shame because I have been
trying to make a trip up there since before BAC or even signing up on
    MM. Some day...

You know, I think BAC should organize a mass flyover of Tom's place up
there. You can drop flowers into the bay...but I guess we've dropped
enough Musketeer parts into those waters. (Sorry, Tom, I just couldn't
resist. And Oz didn't pay me to say it either.)

    So July 2 is the date of the Prince Edward Island Fly-In. Be there;
Aloha! Bienvenue au Canada! (I know, I know, PEI is in English Canada.
But brush up on your French anyway...you have to cross Maine to get there.)

PS: It comes after the MAY 21 FLY-IN AT BAF!

BAF Fly-In just Before PEI, Canada

Steve Cote has acknowledged the Fly-in July 2 on the beautiful province of Prince Edward Island. Yes, it was a way to mention again the fly-in he is hosting May 21 at Barnes Airport in Holyoke, Massachusetts. The fun of flying there is finding it among three huge airports and staying out of the flight path of C5's.

But, PEI is more important. It is a long weekend for Canada and America. The members of the Prince Edward Island Flying Associaition have volunteered to give island tours in their cars. After that, lobsters suppers!

Saturday July 2 is the official date and the time is 10am. But, spend a few extra days on PEI. You will love the people and the beauty of the place is breathe-taking.

So, here is to Steve Cote, host of the May 21 fly-in in Western Massachusetts. However, PEI has beauty to rival the Massachusetts Bershire Mountains... rolling potato fields, seascapes, hills, harbors and the north shore beaches.

Note: The highest point on PEI is across the farm about a half mile from my place. The elevation is 150' msl. Ya, 150'.
