I looked and your right you have to be brave.
Sorry to here about the mishap, but remember it is only metal and can be
    rebuilt or replaced.
I take it you and your passenger are alright?
Did you hit hard where the nose wheel and left main collapsed or did a
    cactus take it out?

Glad to hear you were able to walk away without a scratch. Our birds can
take some abuse and leave us the better for it! It was eerie looking at
the pictures, since I have almost the same paint scheme.

Unfortunately I had an off-field landing on Saturday and the little bird
is kind of messed up. I lost power on take-off and I was about 400 feet
in the air. The levelist spot was back at the airport and if I would
have had 200 more feet altitude I would have at least made a taxiway.
If it doesn't make you sick and you want to see pictures go to

Aww geez, Ron, I am so sorry for your plane. But, as you said, the
    important thing is you're OK.
Let us know what the cause was; if you discover it.
Maybe there is a bright side to this though. With no wheels, maybe you
can take the opportunity to rebuild her as a Sierra now?? Naw, guess
    that's not all that funny.
Stay safe, good job getting her down the way you did.
